Almond is a new platform that allows brands to digitize physical products and create their own brand cryptocurrency. A secure, hidden ‘data matrix code’ is printed on a product to create a unique digital product identity. This unique digital product identity then allows brands to share specific product supply-chain data (for example batch-specific ingredient traceability), reveal the item’s estimated CO2e footprint (at point of consumption) and also tokenise their products to provide crypto rewards and general cryptoeconomic incentives.
