PlatoonPro is Peloton’s flagship two-truck platooning system. It wirelessly links the active safety systems of pairs of trucks, allowing them to form an aerodynamic platoon to save fuel. The platooning system connects each truck to a cloud-based Network Operations Center that limits platooning to appropriate roads and conditions while providing safety-critical information to drivers and advanced analytics to fleets. Peloton's platooning system has demonstrated fuel savings of 10% on the follow truck and 4.5% on the lead truck in independent SAE J1321 Type II fuel consumption testing.
