Tips For Creating an Effective CabinetM Profile

When you build and maintain your company profile on our platform, you are showcasing it in the largest directory of marketing technology and tools companies in the world.

Here are some tips for getting the most from CabinetM:

  • Watch our 3 minutes How it works video
  • Take the time to fill out your profile completely – it shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes. The more information you share, the more we can ensure you’re included when someone searches for products in your category and that you look your best when they compare you to your competition.
  • Some helpful hits for completing your profile

    * Product category – select as many categories and sub-categories that are relevant. Many times one category is not enough of a descriptor.

    * Average customer spend – if you publicly disclose your pricing then provide a snapshot of monthly average expenditure. If not then use one of the following options: “Prices range from x to y”, “Prices start at x”, or “Prices are project or customer specific, please contact us for a quote”.

    * Performance – More than anything prospects want to understand how they should think about measuring the performance of your product. Don’t forget they usually have to justify the expenditure on your product to their management so make it easy for them. If the pick list doesn’t have a relevant option for “how is performance measured” then select other and write some words around how someone should measure the performance of your product. Think of it as creating a score card for you product. In the benchmark section provide some color on what to expect. It could be as simple as a “2% click through rate” or more qualitative. What does that scorecard look like in the best circumstances? If you are worried about revealing too much information then at least provide some breadcrumbs with a contact us call to action.

    * Installation – In all of our discussions with digital marketers the subject of installation has come up. Trust us – it is in your best interest to provide information around how long it takes and the technical resources required to install your product.

    * Market landscape - It is really helpful to a prospect to understand where you fit in the bigger market landscape. Please take the time to provide information on the products or type of products you complement, to showcase any partner relationships and to identify which products you technically integrate with.

    * Add screenshots – Jazz up your profile with screenshots or visuals. No charge for this!

  • Try to eliminate jargon – by telling your story simply, you make it easier for someone to find you, when they need you. We’ve included a Clarity button on every profile so marketers can let you know how you’re doing. But you’re the only one who sees their feedback.
  • Set-up your “Contact Me Now” button to make it easy for prospects to reach you. We don’t charge for leads – we want this to be a great channel for you!
  • Send us your News – when you post your news through your admin dashboard, it appears in your profile, in any drawer that has been created that contains your profile and is automatically sent to our newsletter team.
  • Encourage your clients to review your product. Prospects look to reviews as a key data point in evaluating new products. We don’t play any games and we expect that you won’t try and game the system by reviewing your own products or your competitors.
  • Keep your profile current, and add your news regularly – our admin dashboard makes it easy.
