In the course of the cooperation with Neckermann (belonging to Thomas Cook Group) from 26.05.2017 to 30.09.2017, there were more than 12,000 sold trips in numerous destinations, such as: Bulgaria (SUNNY BEACH, GOLD COAST), Greece (Crete - Heraklion, Rodos), Spain (Mallorca, Tenerife), Italy (Catania), Turkey (Antalya), Poland (Cracow, Tricity, Zakopane, Bieszczady and other important sports).

Furthermore, 30 days before the trip the customers of Neckermann travel agency have received an e-mail with a link to the guide adjusted to their needs and preferences. The guide was customized paying special attention to the location and the date of the trip.

In addition to the above-mentioned information, Our.Guide travel guide was used in the foregoing destinations. The survey shows that 92,75% of people used Our.Guide application in Poland, 1,89% - in Bulgaria, 1,40% - in Greece, 0,82% in Germany, 0,59% - in Spain and the remaining - in other countries. The major part of the travelers prefer preparing their trip plans before the arrival, however, remaining 8% of people enjoy the process of planning on the spot.

The application is also endowed with a rich database of the most popular restaurants and cafes, as well as a wide range of local souvenir shops and the most recognizable shopping malls in the area.

What is more, Our.Guide widget contains a module for disabled people which presents tourist appeals for them.

WHO USED OUR.GUIDE WIDGET?

The survey implies that Our.Guide widget was being used while planning the trips by 59,6% of men and 40,4% of women.

If it comes to the age range of the application users, the diversification is meaningful - people at the age of 18-24 constitute about 28% of the whole, 25-34 - nearly 35%, 35-44 - almost 30%, 45-54 - over 10%, 55-64 - less than 10%, 65+ - about 4%. In addition, about 10% of those surveyed used the app abroad.

The choices of dream destinations depend on travelers’ preferences and expectations. However, the results of the survey take into account 3 categories which were the most favourite among hotel guests - Culture/Art, Landscape and Children.

As for the places which were most often added to the Trip Planner, the findings mention two spots: Aladzha Monastery and Action Aquapark in Bulgaria.

OUR.GUIDE WIDGET UNDER SCRUTINY - IS IT WORTH TRYING?

Neckermann conducted a survey on asking their clients about their opinions (on a scale of 1 to 10) about the application. For the question “Do you use the guide during your stay?” 60,7% of people marked 10, 7,1% - 9, 14,3% - 8. The results emphasize the importance of such sort of technological tools during the trips.

Additionally, the foregoing travel agent gained a significant knowledge of travelers’ impressions about the travel guide widget after their journeys. 68,8% of those questioned claimed that such kind of the guide is undoubtedly significant argument for further purchase of the trip and 18,8% answered that it is important factor.
