Definition

Business Intelligence (BI) describes the ongoing collection of industry, market and customer data, the analytics tools to extract meaningful patterns within the data, and the methodology to interpret and present real-world scenarios that describe and predict key factors that impact business success. BI provides decision-makers with the historical and the predictive data they need to respond with improvements in business process, systems, marketing, and resources.
